Devotional
Prayer rooted in demotion shifts the focus from our desires to God's glory. Hezekiah's prayer for rescue was ultimately about God’s renown, not just his own deliverance. This demotion of self allows us to pray with a heart aligned with God's purposes, seeking His will above our own. It requires humility and a willingness to accept whatever outcome God deems best. As we demote our desires, we invite God to work in and through us, revealing His power and presence in profound ways. Let us approach prayer with a posture of humility, ready to say, "Not my will, but Yours be done."

Prayer
Father, humble my heart and align my desires with Your will. May my prayers reflect a deep longing for Your glory above all else. Teach me to trust in Your plan, knowing that Your ways are higher than mine. Amen.
