Help senior citizens get warm and cozy this winter

We are collecting pajamas and slippers for senior citizens in local nursing homes. PJs and slippers can be any price range and size but must be NEW. Ideally, you would purchase the pajamas and slippers in corresponding sizes to go to one person.

Donations must be unwrapped and must be dropped off at The Harbor no later than Sunday, December 11th. Thank you for helping those less fortunate have a warm, cozy, and fun Christmas this year!

Please email Mindy Robertson at with any questions you may have.

bless a Child this christmas

We are collecting toys for local children in need with two different Angel Trees, the prison Angel Tree gift adoption for children with parents who are incarcerated and a second Angel Tree for local children in need. If you would like to bless one of these children, please come to the table in the lobby to get a tag that will tell you all about a child and what he or she hopes for for Christmas. Toys should be NEW and in the $25 range.

Prison Angel Tree toys should be returned in a gift bag with the tag you received in the lobby attached. Return gifts or gift cards for the regular Angel Tree adoptions unwrapped. These will be distributed by our partners in Alvin.

We also need 21 drivers to deliver the gifts to children who are recipients of the prison Angel Tree gifts. If you are interested in helping to deliver these gifts, please email Help us make this a very merry Christmas for many local children this year!

the harbor pantry

Bring items each sunday!

The Harbor Pantry supports several local shelters and food pantries. Please help us to feed the hungry in our area by bringing nonperishable food items and personal hygiene items to the orange pantry outside the Worship Center doors when you come to church. If you check the easel by the pantry you'll see a list of items we especially need. Please email if you have any questions.

Even if you bring one can, that can might be the difference between a meal or going hungry for someone in our area.

alvin christmas parade

We are sad to announce that we will not be able to participate in the parade this year. Please email Mindy if you have any questions.

Have you always wanted to be in a parade? Who hasn't?! Now is your chance. We need volunteers to ride on our Harbor Christmas float or walk along side it, smile, wave, and hand out candy to folks along the parade route. It's a whole lot fun and ministry combined. If you'd like to participate, please email

Here is some more information: The parade line-up will begin at 5:15 PM, on Saturday, December 3rd, in the Stanton’s parking lot at 219 N. Taylor Street, in Alvin. The parade will begin at 6:00 PM. Once it starts, it lasts about an hour, but it goes by quickly, because it's so much fun! We hope you will join us!
