Your blood donation is needed!

There remains an urgent need for blood donors amid the pandemic. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center needs 1,000 blood donations per day to support patients in our local hospitals. If you are feeling healthy and well, please schedule an appointment to give blood at The Harbor on Sunday, January 9. The donor coach will be in The Harbor parking lot from 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM to take your precious donation.

In addition to the wonderful feeling that knowing you are helping up to three people receive the blood they need brings, all donors will also receive a limited edition long sleeved pullover. Email with any questions.

Join us IN the alvin christmas parade

Have you always wanted to be in a parade? Who hasn't?! Now is your chance. We need volunteers to ride on our Harbor Christmas float or walk along side it, smile, wave, and hand out candy to folks along the parade route. It's a whole lot fun and ministry combined. If you'd like to participate, please email

Here is some more information: The parade line-up will begin at 4:30 PM, on Saturday, December 4th, in the Stanton’s parking lot at 219 N. Taylor Street, in Alvin. The parade will begin at 6:00 PM. Once it starts, it lasts about an hour, but it goes by quickly, because it's so much fun! We hope you will join us!

bless children & seniors this holiday season

We are collecting NEW toys for local children in need. If you would like to bless a child, come to the table in the lobby to get a tag that will tell you all about a local child and what he or she hopes for for Christmas. Toys should be NEW and in the $20 range. If your child would like it, we are sure another child would as well.

We are also collecting pajamas and slippers for local senior citizens. PJs and slippers can be any price range and size but must be NEW. Ideally, you would purchase the pajamas and slippers in corresponding sizes to go to one person.

Donations must be unwrapped and must be dropped off at The Harbor by Sunday, December 12th. Thank you for helping those less fortunate have a warm, cozy, and fun Christmas this year!

Please email Mindy Robertson with any questions you may have.
