To all nations

The Harbor is committed to ongoing support of missionary efforts to the ends of the earth, sharing bread and the Bread of Life (Jesus) globally with those in need. You can help by praying for these efforts, or by providing financial support directly to them, if you feel so led.

pray & give | HAITI 2019

We normally send multiple teams to Haiti as we partner with Ansanm Ministries, though 2019 looked different for us at The Harbor. As our trips approached, the U.S. government labeled Haiti a Level 4-Do Not Travel Warning due to civil unrest. After seeking the Lord in prayer and adhering to the policies of Ansanm, our 2019 trips were canceled.

Even though we canceled our trips, we are still supporting Ansanm as they minister to Cap Rouge, Haiti. The two big ways you can support Ansamn and the ministry in Haiti is by prayer and by giving.

Pray: Please pray for the government of Haiti. Pray for honest, God honoring leaders to rise to the top.
Give: Just because our groups are not traveling to Haiti doesn't mean we stop our support. When our teams go in they normally will share the gospel, conduct prayer walks through the community, support local children’s ministries, respond to local church requests for pastoral care, participate in construction projects in Cap Rouge, and provide assistance in the local hospital. Though we will not be there, all of that ministry will go on. So please ask God what He wants you to give as we support Ansanm and the ministry in Cap Rouge.

One thing to consider before donating with a debit or credit card is that The Harbor is charged to process the transaction (2.2% + $.30 per transaction). If possible, please consider paying by cash or check. In order for your designated gift to be tax deductible, The Harbor must have discretion as to how the money is applied to Haiti expenses. If you are donating by check, please put "Haiti" in the memo line.
