Day 3: A Christ-Centered Relationship
Five-day devotional based on the message by Pastor Jeff Maness on February 23, 2025. Watch/listen to the full message by clicking here.
Devotional
The Bible may not mention dating specifically, but it speaks clearly about the kind of person we should commit to. A Christ-centered relationship is not about mere compatibility—it’s about walking together in the same direction toward God. If someone isn’t surrendered to Christ, they cannot truly lead or support you spiritually in marriage.
Bible Verse
"A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but only if he loves the Lord." — 1 Corinthians 7:39 (NLT)
Reflection Question
Am I prioritizing spiritual alignment in my relationships, or am I compromising on faith for the sake of attraction or companionship?
Quote
"You want someone who is running after Christ as you are, with the same level of devotion. Because they are either going your direction or pulling you somewhere you don’t want to go." — Jonathan Pokluda
Prayer
Jesus, help me seek relationships that honor You. Guide me to pursue or encourage relationships that are built on faith, love, and spiritual unity. Amen.
