Devotional
The journey of discipleship calls for a paradoxical understanding: to truly live, one must first die. This concept challenges us to re-evaluate what it truly means to follow Christ. It is a call to surrender, to let go of the reins we tightly grip, and to allow Jesus to take His rightful place as Lord of our lives. It is not an easy path, but it is the one that leads to true life. We must willingly lay down our earthly desires and ambitions, trusting that in doing so, we gain far more than we lose.

Luke 14:27 — “And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.”

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me to understand the depth of what it means to truly live through dying to myself. I surrender my plans, my desires, and my life to You. Teach me to carry my cross daily and to follow You wherever You lead. Grant me the courage to let go and the faith to trust in Your perfect plans for my life. Amen.
